11 Nov Is predictive cleaning a dream?
Over the years, cleaning service providers and large corporate customers have been working to transition from an input-driven model (number of hours of work) to an output-based model (measurement of cleaning result) and eventually an outcome-based model (impact on end users, customer satisfaction tracking).
Outcome-based cleaning is a collaborative model, in which cleaning services are no longer executed according to fixed schedules but targeted where they are most needed, without wasting time or resources.
This cleaning model is enabled to a large extent by the roll-out of the IoT in buildings, consisting of wireless sensor networks, real-time data analytics and direct communication with field workers and end users through mobile devices. By correlating sensor data with data about occupancy, reservations, weather conditions etc., predictive cleaning becomes a reality.
This video explains the approach and its benefits.
